PHOTO DIARY

 

The end of summer holidays is a very nostalgic time for me. On the one hand, the calendar summer is not over yet, but in fact, with the beginning of September, I feel the beginning of autumn. The days are getting shorter, the nights and mornings are getting colder and the greenery on the leaves has been slowly fading. This year's August was an extremely difficult month for me. For almost three weeks we have been struggling with smaller and larger health problems. Klara had pneumonia, then laryngitis, which ended with infection, and eventually some sinus infection got stuck to me. I am slowly trying to get back on my feet after weeks of sleepless nights and few kilograms lighter. Although it will take us a while to return to normal,  we will soon return to everyday pleasures and new sweet duties (I already have a small preschooler at home waiting for his debut) - before that, I invite you for a much shorter than usual summary of last month.

Koniec wakacji, to dla mnie bardzo nostalgiczny czas. Z jednej strony kalendarzowe lato przecież jeszcze się nie skończyło, ale w gruncie rzeczy wraz z rozpoczęciem września, odczuwam rozpoczynającą się jesień. Dni są coraz krótsze, noce i poranki coraz chłodniejsze, a zieleń na liściach już od jakiegoś czasu powolnie odchodzi w zapomnienie. Tegoroczny sierpień był dla mnie wyjątkowo trudnym miesiącem. Od niemalże trzech tygodni borykamy się z mniejszymi i większymi problemami zdrowotnymi. Klara miała najpierw zapalenie płuc później zapalenie krtani, infekcja górnych dróg oddechowych a ostatecznie do mnie się przyczepiło jakieś zapalenie zatok. Powolutku próbuję więc stanąć na nogi po tygodniach nieprzespanych nocy i lżejsza o kilka kilogramów. Chociaż powrót do normy zajmie nam jeszcze chwilę, lada moment wrócimy do codziennych przyjemności i nowych słodkich obowiązków (w końcu mam już w domu małego przedszkolaka, który czeka na swój debiut) - zanim to jednak nastąpi, zapraszam Was na znacznie krótsze niż zazwyczaj podsumowanie miesiąca. 

A stay in Żywiec is always a moment of respite for me. I had some time for bike trips to the lake site (this is definitely my favorite route).

Pobyt w Żywcu to dla mnie zawsze chwila wytchnienia. Nie obyło się bez wycieczek rowerowych nad jezioro (to zdecydowanie moja ulubiona trasa).

1. Morning breakfast feast. // 2. Orange madness. // 3. Sunsets. // 4. A mini picnic and a moment for a few pages.

1. Poranna uczta śniadaniowa. // 2. Pomarańczowe szaleństwo. // 3. Zachody słońca. // 4. Mini piknik i chwila na kilka kartek. 

A sight that never gets boring.

Widok, który nigdy się nie nudzi. 

Looking from today's perspective, I think I can slowly start putting my summer clothes into the storage space.

Patrząc z dzisiejszej perspektywy, letnie ubrania już chyba mogę powoli zacząć chować do pawlacza. 

1. White and beige - my favorite colour palette. // 2. A walk in the Żywiec Park and a mandatory stop to feed the hungry ducks and swans. // 3. Wildflowers. // 4. After the walk it's time for ice cream!

1. Biel i beż – moja ulubiona paleta barw. // 2. Spacer po parku żywieckim i obowiązkowy przystanek, aby nakarmić wygłodniałe kaczki i łabędzie. // 3. Polne kwiaty. // 4. Po spacerze czas na lody!

Always on the run. Make a photo of her, where she will not be blurred is almost like a miracle :D.

Ciągle w biegu. Zrobić jej zdjęcie, na którym nie będzie rozmazana graniczy z cudem :D.

Whenever the weather is nice, a stay in Żywiec means a whole day outdoors, including meals. Not much, but the coffee tastes better :)

Kiedy tylko pogoda dopisuje, pobyt w Żywcu równa się cały dzień na świeżym powietrzu włącznie z posiłkami. Niby niewiele, ale kawa smakuje jakoś lepiej :)

1. Slow changes in everyday wardrobe. // 2, 3 and 4. I also managed to catch up on some backlogs in literature. Reading surrounded by nature is much better.

1. Powolne zmiany w codziennej garderobie. // 2, 3 i 4. Udało mi się również nadrobić trochę literackich zaległości. Na łonie natury czyta się zdecydowanie lepiej. 

It's hard to believe that tomorrow this young lady will have her debut in kindergarten. When did that time fly?

Aż trudno uwierzyć, że już jutro to młoda dama będzie miała swój debiut w przedszkolu. Kiedy to zleciało?

1. The taste of summer. // 2. Beach-goers. // 3. I'll just stay here, because maybe Klara will drop a piece of that good plum cake ...: D // 4. This dress is a few years old, but I still love it.

1. Smak lata. // 2. Plażowicze. // 3. Ja sobie tu tylko postoję, bo może akurat Klara upuści kawałek tego dobrego ciasta ze śliwkami… :D // 4. Ta sukienka ma już kilka lat, ale nadal ją uwielbiam. 

1. Here is a more elegant duo, for my mother's birthday :). // 2. Vogue Polska. // 3. Work is in full swing. // 4. From a slightly different angle, but still the same park.

1. Tu już bardziej elegancki duet, na urodziny mojej mamy :). // 2. Vogue Polska. // 3. Praca wre. // 4. Z trochę innej strony, ale to wciąż ten sam park. 

I really like this place. 

Bardzo lubię to miejsce. 

1. The holiday season is busy here, but the views overshadow everything :). // 2. Cake with plums and we can enjoy afternoon. // 3. I could do this all day… // 4. Fortunately, there was no rain.

1. Sezon wakacyjny bywa tutaj tłoczny, ale widoki przyćmiewają wszystko :). // 2. Biszkopt ze śliwkami i możemy się gościć. // 3. Mogłabym tak cały dzień… // 4. Na szczęście obyło się bez deszczu.

I can't wait to follow this route in a few weeks. The green of the trees will give way to shades of copper and gold, and in the basket, in addition to the blanket, there will be a thermos with delicious tea.

Już nie mogę się doczekać, kiedy za kilka tygodni będę przemierzać tą trasę. Zieleń drzew ustąpi miejsca odcieniom miedzi i złota, a w koszyku oprócz koca znajdzie się termos z pyszną herbatą.

Seasonal pleasures. It is for them that I love each season in my own way.

Sezonowe przyjemności. To właśnie za nie uwielbiam każdą porę roku na swój sposób. 

In just a few days, the calendar autumn will begin, but looking at the changing landscape, weather aura, and the fact that yesterday my husband took out vacuum bags with sweaters and coats, I can’t help but feel that she is already here. I know that for many of you it is not the most pleasant time of the year, but I am really looking forward to it - for those afternoons surrounded by candlelight, the aroma of tea rising from the jug, which will settle down on the table for good, and warm woolen sweaters that will wrap my body giving a feeling of warmth and comfort.

Już za kilka dni zacznie się kalendarzowa jesień, ale patrząc na zmieniający się krajobraz, aurę pogodową, oraz fakt, że wczoraj mąż powyciągał worki próżniowe ze swetrami i płaszczami, nie da się nie odczuć, że właściwie ona już tu jest. Wiem, że dla Wielu z Was nie jest to najprzyjemniejsza pora roku, ale ja naprawdę bardzo się na nią cieszę – na te popołudnia otoczone blaskiem świec, aromatem herbaty unoszącym się z dzbanka, który na dobre rozgości się na stole i ciepłe wełniane swetry, które otulą moje ciało dając poczucie ciepła i komfortu.
